The Black Hills Throwdown in Sturgis, South Dakota once again proved why it’s considered one of the toughest rounds of the Ultra4 USA 4900 UTV series — and Cody was right in the thick of it.
Starting in 4th, Cody quickly got to work, moving up into 2nd and chasing down the leader. On corrected time, he was actually out front and in position to win. But as racing goes, nothing is guaranteed — three laps in, the alternator gave out, knocking out power steering, gauges, and any charge to the car’s electrical system.
That could have ended his race on the spot.
Instead, it became the perfect showcase for Braille Batteries and Optimate Chargers.

Starting at 12.7 volts and crossing the line at 12.1, the battery delivered everything he needed to keep pushing and finish strong.
