Understanding Core Charges
Our pricing depends on receiving a good, reusable core; it’s what keeps our remanufacturing process cost-effective and sustainable. We believe honesty is the best policy, so we trust our customers to be honest about their Core’s condition and also ship out your old core* within 10 business days. By doing so, you help us keep prices fair and avoid additional core charges.
*Remanufactured Engines for Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha and certain Can-Am models will need the core sent in for the rebuild.
So, what exactly is a good core? Determining whether your UTV/ATV Engine, Transmission or Differential qualifies as a good core is relatively straightforward. For Remanufactured Engines, good cores have: a good rebuildable cylinder head; an engine block without cracks, holes or damage; no ‘spun’ Bearing Journals. For Remanufactured Transmissions, good cores have: a good undamaged case; no ‘spun’ Bearing Journals. For Remanufactured Differentials, good cores have: a good undamaged case; a functioning magnetic cover. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Engine Core Charges: Good Core = No Charge; Bad Core = $800; No Core = $1500 Charge.
Transmission Core Charges: Good Core = No Charge; Bad Core = $500 Charge; No Core = $1000 Charge.
Differential Core Charges: Good Core = No Charge; Bad Core = $50; No Core = $500 Charge.

GOOD, Usable Core: No Charge
If everything checks out and looks as it should, then you have a Good Usable Core! With our ‘No Upfront Core Charge’ and a good core coming back to CW Motorsports, there will be no additional charge on your Remanufactured Engine order.

- No Holes in the Case.
- No Spun Bearing Journals.

BAD Core: $800
We understand that everything is not always ideal. Fortunately, there is still some value and usability we can still squeeze out of a bad core. Bad Engine Cores will have an additional charge of $800 on your Remanufactured Engine order. We still need your core, and you will still receive a prepaid shipping label to send it back to us.
- NON-Rebuildable Cylinder Head.
- Bad Engine Block.
- Holes in the Case.
- Spun Bearing Journals.

NO Core For Return: $1500
If there is No Engine Core able to be returned, you will have an additional charge of $1500 on your Remanufactured Engine order.
